A Tropical Oasis in the Heart of DC: Royal Sands Exceeds All Expectations! Royal Sands is, quite simply, an amazing venue. From the moment you step inside, it's incredibly inviting, transporting you to a vibrant, sun-drenched paradise. It truly feels like a stunning piece of Florida, meticulously transplanted and thriving right here in downtown DC's Navy Yard. It's a breathtaking escape that instantly sets the perfect tone for any event. Working with Rachel on our recent event was an absolute dream. She made the entire process so incredibly amazing and easy! Rachel was exceptionally communicative, always ready with brilliant suggestions, and boasted some of the best response times I've ever encountered in this industry. She proactively handled storing items for us ahead of time, and flawlessly answered every single question we had about setup, food, decor, the photo booth, and signage. Rachel truly was a dream to work with, and I genuinely look forward to collaborating with her on future events. The food was absolutely delicious! We had estimated around 70 guests for our event, but ended up with closer to 110, and the venue handled the unexpected surge beautifully. While we had a few slow moments with food service, I honestly think that was a testament to just how incredibly tasty everything was – the kitchen simply couldn't always keep up with our enthusiastic and hungry party-goers! Beyond the food, the bartenders and runners were phenomenal. I'm a stickler for keeping event spaces clean and tidy, and the runners did an exceptional job of consistently clearing plates and cups, ensuring the area never looked messy or unkempt. The bartenders were equally impressive, expertly crafting all our custom drinks and maintaining a fantastic flow at the bar. They constantly kept guests smiling and poured delicious libations all night long. What truly stood out was their incredible ability to keep multiple events separate and running smoothly, a testament to their professionalism and skill. All I can say is, you absolutely have to check out Royal Sands for your next event! And even if you don't have a big event planned, do yourself a favor and just pop by for a bite and some drinks. You won't be disappointed!

We hosted a DC Graduate student mixer on Friday and the Royal Sands team made it so easy to reserve the entire second floor! They were very easy to work with and even offered to make themed cocktails for each graduate school in attendance! It truly was an unforgettable event and would recommend this location and all Mission Group locations throughout DC!

Hosted a number of events here for my college’s alumni group, and they always welcome us with exceptional hospitality. Everyone speaks highly of the food, cocktails, and atmosphere! Thank you for hosting the Florida Atlantic alumni association time after time.

Me and a friend stopped by Royal Sands Social Club for happy hour during the week and had an overall great time. Since we went early it was surprisingly quiet and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Their happy hour runs from 4pm to 7pm with some solid specials that we wanted to take try out. We tried a little bit of everything: the nachos that my friend really enjoyed, the wings which were pretty good and the burger thats not on the happy hour menu, ended up being a really nice choice. Definitely a pretty good burger all around. Drinks were also solid. The space itself is fun and colorful giving off lively beach vibes that fit the name. Service was good and easy especially given the fact that we were the only ones there at the time. Overall it’s a great spot for happy hour in the Navy Yard area with good vibes and good food. I’d definitely come back again for happy hour.

I hosted an event at Royal Sands, and it was fantastic. Setting up the event was incredibly easy, and Rachel was super responsive and helpful. Best part was no room fee or food/beverage minimum. Honestly, more restaurants should do that because our group, which was 40+ people, all ordered drinks and food themselves. In addition, because I didn't have to pay a room fee or food/beverage minimum, I was able to order a couple of food platters for my event. The platters were great - the food was fresh, beautifully arranged, and really well done. The staff was super attentive with the manager checking in several times during the event. If I needed to host another event, I will 100% be reaching out to Royal Sands again.

My office hosted our holiday happy hour at Royal Sands in the Cabana room and it was a pleasant experience from start to finish! We were greeted upon arrival and the host was offered a welcome beverage which was a lovely touch. We pre-ordered several appetizers which were delicious and set up in the room upon arrival. The bartender and hosts were gracious. Our group had a wonderful time and we will be considering Royal Sands for future events.

As SBA Vice President of Events, I coordinated our Barristers’ Ball Afterparty at Royal Sands Social Club, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Their team was professional, organized, and extremely easy to work with. Hosting a large group right after a formal event requires smooth coordination and efficient entry management, and everything ran seamlessly. The venue had a great atmosphere, the music was strong, and service was quick and attentive. Most importantly, the staff treated our group with professionalism and ensured our guests had a great time. I highly recommend Royal Sands for large group events and private celebrations. We look forward to partnering with them again.

Had an amazing time at Royal Sands in DC! The vibe was great, and the service made the experience even better. Our server and bartender Mekhi was absolutely awesome—super friendly, attentive, and made sure our drinks were perfect the whole time. The cocktails were strong, well-crafted, and came out quickly. The food was also great—delicious and came out fresh and hot. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun spot (right across from the Nats stadium) with great service, tasty food, and even better drinks! Jerome the manager also came to check on us. Just overall great service!!!
